So as I have promised I have now learned (and finally downloaded) some pictures. As I was looking at our pictures I realized that there are no pictures of my whole family. This is a picture of me, my parents and my brothers and sisters at Easter this year. Aren't we a great looking family?!?! I know..most people are like...how are these people related to you because they have blonde hair and blue eyes and you are dark haired and...well I have green eyes but still...how can that happen?? That is my stepdad but he is a good stepdad and took care of my brother and I most of our lives. The reason that I posted this picture is because as we approach the holiday season I hope that we can all appreciate our family. I know..you are thinking you just don't understand...my family is crazy! I know..mine too but they are what God has given us! They would do anything for us and I would hope that we would do anything for our families. What is your favorite family memory? Not just at Christmas time but anytime? Mine is the fact that we can all get together at the drop of a hat. My family is notorious for just making a lot of food for no reason just to get together and then we all eat, play games and yell at each other (not mean just loud toward each other) and we have a blast doing it!! I am thankful to know that my family would do anything for me and my kids and my hubby but I am most thankful that I have a great relationship and I live close to my family. I know that there are a lot of people out there in blogger land that arenot close to their family whether it is living close to their family or not having a close relationship to their family. Please just take the time to say "I love you" to your family...you may not know how much time you really have with them. Today I just found out that a young man whom I knew very well but have not talked to in a couple of years was a a fatal motorcycle and has left behind a wife, both of his parents and a wonderful little sister whom I love dearly. When I found out from one of my church elders his comment was simple but wise..."life is but a vapor" which is stated in the Bible. Remember that this Christmas and remember that you are only here for a short time so get your life straight and love those around you and don't waste time hating others.

On Time??

Alas we did NOT make it to Sunday School on time...we were 15minutes late and I have to blame myself because I forgot to put Preston's carseat in the car the night before so I had to do it as we were walking out the door. Can inventors make carseats a little more easier to place in a car because mine is terrible! My husband is an officiando at replacing the carseat and he can get it in the seat really tight to where it does not move....I on the other hand cannot.

We bopped on our way to Sunday School and church and Paige and I had a long talk about how she needs to be more helpful with me in the mornings with Preston and the way that she can help is by not complaining to me about her dress\skirt that morning rather she needs to complain the night before when we pick out our things. Girls are just so hard to take care of!!

I am having sinus surgery tomorrow and I am not anxious about this surgery like my last one but I have heard so many more horror stories that I am curious if they are true. I got the clearance to go back to work on Tues 12-4-07 which is a good thing because we are becoming poor poeple!! We were so used to me working that when I stopped working it was an eye opener that I do help out the family quite a bit by working!

So I am working on a Bible study on Esther (from the Bible) and I am curious if anyone has any comments that they have about the story or Esther herself? I would love to hear them and I promise that if I use your comment I will credit you if I get a chance to present it!! I have found a great Bible commentary from John Gill that you can "google" his name and it is a commentary of the WHOLE BIBLE!! It is a great help because it makes my research a little more uncomplicated and it's all right there!

Well I need to get my nightly glass of ice water and take some medications before I go to bed and can not eat or drink anything after midnight! I will let all know about my surgery tomorrow and I will also be posting some pictures of the family very soon. I just need to figure out how to do all that!!

A Second Attempt

This is my second attempt to start a blog. My first failed miserably with the birth of my son and I have not started another...till now. I got the idea from a friend of mine that has a blog and I am thinking that this is a great way to post pics of my family, vent about the daily news and also a great way to keep in touch with friends anf family wherever they may be. I will keep this short as I need to get things ready for church tomorrow. If you are a church-going family as we are then you know what it is like to get two children ready for church and Sunday School...and including yourself it is hard work. My husband works on Sunday mornings so he misses the tedious task of telling my 7 year old daughter that she can not wear a skirt to church in 30 degree weather without her tights...I am sure mothers understand this! Then trying to get a 2 year old dressed while he is crying that he wants his cereal in a bowl without milk and wants to watch "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" because he does this EVERY morning for 6 days in a row...why the change?? So, as many of you know. this is how Sunday mornings are...even when we get up on time and lay clothes out to wear the night before and make muffins to take on the road... we are still LATE!!! I hope to hear from some people and I hope to post more blogs soon...and I'll let you know of we make it to church on time tomorrow!!
